Clicking from the front wheel on bumps

Post by Calgaryturbo »

This forum rocks!!
Wondering if anyone has had this problem. When I go over a bump I hear a loud click coming the front passenger side area. Tier rod end, sway bar, springs. I have no idea. It seems to be getting worse(louder)but doesn't seem to affect handeling.

it does it around turns more than in a straight line. Also does it if i turn back and forth over say 30km/hour. Always does it if I am turning over a speed bump. Click click

Fixed it for nothing!!
I took the end link off and one bolt looked like it had some hard buildup on it. After doing a search on this site I was convinved the noise was coming from the sway bar. Cleaned the bolts off and put it all back together and fixed!!!! I sure don't miss that anoying click !!
Cheers and thanks for the help!

good point...the build up was probably hitting the sway or causing it to contact the X-member. Glad it was just that.

was it repeated clicks, or more of a single thunk? If the second is true, i may need to check this out, because i have a thunk during similar conditons.
