4EAT trouble

Post by MY92 »

Can anyone hazard a guess at this? I think its all over rover for this box.

In D, 3, 2 or 1 it will only give the car a slight jolt at around 1500rpm, then it just slips to redline with no drive and the poor car thinks its doing 100km/h. Same thing in reverse.

In FWD mode only, there is no drive at all.

Thoughts? Time to open the box up and put all of it in the bin?

I think you need a new tranny. If you're gutsy, you could do the 5mt swap. A lot of users here have done it and have done it well. I'd like to do the 5mt swap, but I'd need someone to do it for me.
