i need a diagnosis with a loud bang

i was racing my 94RS and was revving it up heaps before taking off and then took off in quite high revs then changed into second then there was a bang. i feel as if the first turbo aint going that well and the whisling of the turbo is louder and a bit rattly at times. also the exhaust seems quiter only have rage muffler but maybe im just being paranoid. it still runs good and still goes as fast. if you guys think something needs to be fixed price estimates would be helpful cause im new to all this car stuff. cheers
