Let me do a little bit a homework on it, and other EBC's on the market.
I'll try to get back to you later this weekend on what I decide.
Thanks

Are you using the feature to set boost per every gear, or just using the auto feature? The AVC-R seems to be one of the few if not only one that can set boost based upon gear, supposedly. However with our gear ratios, I'm not so sure that's overly necessary. On the STi with the shorter gear ratios, I can see how that could be necessary.

When I had that car, it was set up rather simply. I don't recall if we did any changes to boost-per-gear, but I could be mistaken. I didn't know as much about turbos in 2000, and wasn't curious enough to go and tweak everything.
I agree that the 3.9 ratio is probably better suited to high-boost in low gears, as you spend more time in them.

On my "A" map it's set for as much boost as the car can make as soon as possible using the "start duty" function by setting those values pretty high in the first 3 gears. My "B" map is set for the boost to come on progressively. I think ~.4bar@2-3k then .5@3-4k then .6 @4-4.5k and between .7 and .8 @4.5k and above ( of course it naturaly tapers off past 5k or so)

You should be able to d/l the instructions and install stuff from apexi.
Thanks for letting me know you bought it though. I'm going to see if I can pick one when I'm in Japan for less then what I can buy it here for.
