Removing black trim

Post by Splinter »

I've seen lots of threads on removing the black chrome strip, but what about the whole black trim?

Anyone have any pics of what that looks like?

It'd probably look pretty crappy because I believe there is an indent for the trim. if there's not, all you'd need to do is fill the holes.

I've seen people paint the black trim. Which looks good.

you cannot properly remove the black trim unless you have a plastic welder. It's what connects to the body on the bumper cover. I've looked into it already

Ooo looks slick.

Think I could get away with a couple cans of Krylon and some clearcoat, or do I need automotive paint?

It's white

If you remove the trim on the doors, prep them, you might be able to get away with some good laquer spray paint & clear coat, and it looking alright. I don't know about the bumpers though.
