When I did my swap, the new engine didn't idle very well so I ended up adjusting my TPS and it helped a lot. Then when MVP performance tuning (Matt, Vikash, Phil) installed my WRX tmic we swapped in a new tb that we cut and again I was having pretty bad idle issues. The idle was really bad at first and V suggested that I not mess with the TPS again and so we tried to use the CC linkage to adjust idle. That seemed to help a tiny bit for about a week, then my idle went to hell again. My idle was good if I ran the AC but without it the car would stumble pretty bad and sometimes stall when I went off throttle, like at a stop. So anyways, yesterday I went with my gut and went out and adjusted my TPS and now the car idles perfect and when I go off throttle it runs smooth and I have no stumbling issues whate so ever now!

So here is my reasoning. The TPS is set from the factory right? And that is why everyone says not to adjust it right? Well when you mod your car, especially a TMIC or FMIC, you are changing the flow characteristics of the engine and so a TPS adjustment makes perfect sense to me. Let go of your fear, if you have idle issues or stumbling, you don't have to live with it anymore. Adjust the TPS and you'll be happy you did! Cheers!
