HMMM? Phase I cams in EJ20g Heads?

Post by napphappy »

Is this possible? practical? retarded?

I was looking at the specs.

the Phase I DOHC Cams have more lift than the EJ20g's

the journals are the same size.

cam timing is different.

Im kinda just thinking out loud.

Any input?

Dont flame me if Im in left field :?

While the journals are the same size, I do not think they will work. The reason is the rockers with the HLA's. The EJ25 DOHC cams are from heads with shim over bucket direct actuation. From what I have read over at MRT's site you cannot backdate a more modern cam into an HLA head. Good idea, but sorry, it won't work...
