I did a search and I know this is known thing. I didn't turn up anything with the search or, more to the point, too many things but not what I needed.
The question: Is there any problem fitting a dp designed to go around the 4eat into a 5mt swap? In other words, will my current dp fit when I put my 5mt in?

Yeah, I think you'll be fine. It's the other way around that would be cause to maybe worry.

Yeah, both Dave and Lex used their stock 4EAT downpipes after their 5MT swaps. I think they had problems with one or both of the brackets not lining up, but that's not a big deal.
But you've got an aftermarket downpipe, right?

Yeah, I've got an aftermarket 'downpipe'. I only say it that way because, in it's current state, I don't know what to call it, hehe. It's not a downpipe anymore. It's a downmidcatexhaustpipe all in one shiny package. What a job that was,
. I just swapped my 'unipipe' over to demi (silver) from Majen. It was a fun job and it didn't take long. I don't know why I was daunted by those hangers, they're easy as pie to get off. I guess I just like the release I get from building up all that tension. Hmmmm, maybe there's something I need that a car can't provide without severe scarring or burns.
Something Matt told me rang in my ears when I was doing the work and found an iffy crush bend spot. "Scott, your exhaust is only as big as your smallest restriction, Scooot, make sure you get a new gasket..." hehe.
I thought it would work but I just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I was overlooking.
