clutch noise

Post by irishsetter »

I can hear what sounds like a grinding or gear to gear noise in my tran when I have the clutch out. If I push the clutch in after a quick second it goes away. Is this normal?

But to answer your question, it sounds like your throwout bearing.

but it could also be......

the bearing in your flywheel that the shaft of the tranny goes into.....

Your pressure plate is worn out.....

Any of the above.

but it probably isnt going to magically go away.

Sorry,
