I have a radio shack model pro-92 multi-system trunking scanner that works great and does the job but I was wondering if anyone else has a trunking scanner. If so here are a few questions:
Which one do you have?
Do you like it?
What antenna do you use?
Did you program in the Talk group ID's or the Freqs?
Anybody have a trunking police scanner?

It's only illegal if you use it in your vehicle to find crimes in progress or crime scenes.
Just make sure you know what type of system your local law inforcment uses before you purchase a police scanner.
For instance all my local agencies use motorola type II 800mhz trunked systems. The pro-92 by default scans the type 2 system. I simply enter the freqs and push SCAN. It tracks the convos for me. I can also hook my scanner up to a computer and program it that way.
Most of the time you can find your local freqs on the internet by doing a google search.
