Help Code 22!!

Post by Sk3oSH »

i have a 22 CEL and i need some advice on what might be the problem. the car seems to idle and run fine, though its alil shaky at idle and do to the retarted timing it really doesnt feel like when i was new. do you think that maybe its just the knock sensor thats gone bad or is my car just knocking. i dont hear any audible sign, though my car is loud. the car has 200k miles and i already fixed a code 35 boost solenoid. i really hope its just the sensor, but if not what r my options? has anyone else run into this prob?
thanx

If it's still the original knock sensor, it's probably got cracks and it's shorting out or just not working correctly.

They have come out with a new design. I'd suggest replacing the sensor, resetting the ECU, and see if that fixes your problems.

https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/oe_parts_cat.html

Part # is 22060AA031

It's $66.37

I doubt you'll be able to get it at napa. I'd recommend getting the subaru part.
