To all the students - Goodluck!

Post by skid542 »

I know a lot of us are college students and are probably hitting the last week crunch and the start of finals so I just thought I'd wish everyone goodluck on their finals and such - Goodluck!

Only 2 days left before school ends and Finals start next monday. Can't wait for the break.

Someone at my school killed themselves this morning trying to swing from a crane before dawn. I don't know if he couldn't take finals or he was just stupid.

c'mon, buck up, you'll get it done.

I've always gotten all my things done.

I once typed up a page long paper in the time in between classes (this is high school) the hour it was due :-D

I am not looking forward to my probablity concepts in engineering final next week. Steel design shouldn't be too bad, though.

Since Friday I've done the following:

8 page English research paper, due previous tuesday, handed in on extension.

15 page Marketing project due Tuesday, not started until Monday.

5 page Criminal Justice project due today, finishing it now.

6 page English paper due Thursday, haven't started (assigned today though).

4 English "journal" discussions due 2 weeks ago, forgot to hand in.

Marketing test thursday, haven't studied yet.

6 page essay corrections from previous essay due thursday.

I'm swamped right now.

Next semester is going to kill me. 17 credit hours, 4 days a week, 2 labs (one chemistry, one engineering sciences). The lectures to join those labs, calc course, spanish course, and an "art" class where they teach you how to deal with stress :).

Then I take 7 hours over the summer in a 5 week semester. Then another 17 to 18 hour semester next fall. And probably a very similar semester after that.

All in the name of engineering. Damn my early college major changing! I almost had to start over!

I can honestly say......I don't miss college one bit!!

Sure it had its fun times.....but mechanical engineering at Penn State isn't an easy curriculum......and of course there's always the plus side now of having money :D

Yeh, they took attendance (sp?) in highschool.

Sometimes i think about quitting and getting a full time job but i know it will be worth it when i graduate. Then go to school for another 4 yrs and graduate again. Then get a job.

Not so much. Highschool was comparatively easy, the BS that goes along with school continues.

well...when you're taking college level classes along with the BS in high school...its a little harder. Especially since they don't allow you to take more study halls, regardless of how many credits I need to graduate.

ie: I need 2.5 more credits to graduate high school (I took more than was needed previous years). They're making me take 6.5, which only allows me to have one study hall, and I'm taking two AP classes. WTF?!

I transferred to take my senior year of highschool in colorado and when the conversion of credits was done, I had over a 100 more credits than I needed to graduate because my old highschool made you take 8 classes each semester.

I had to take a freshmen course on us government my senior year which was funny because i would bring in food and a beverage and eat in front of the freshmen and when they asked the teacher if they could eat in class, he told them *uck no, you're freshmen. Then he told me i didnt have to show up for class the last three months if i wanted to write an 8 pg paper on government instead. That was an awesome class.

My senior year, I was a student aide for 4th and 5th period. So I aided for the health room 4th period, had lunch, then aided for an Engineering course 5th period. I was good friends with the teacher (I set a few records and won a few awards while in his class), so he was real cool about me aiding.

I was also friends with the nurse.

So I'd have 3 hour lunches most days of the week. I also made car-parts while the other engineering kids watched videos. It was awesome.

I don't remember having a full day of school any time in the second semester of senior year.
