Anybody have a rough guess as to the weight of this? Just a number that I can use to estimate the shipping.

Actually I do this all the time. They weigh about 175lb on a pallet. But they will charge you dimensional weight when you give them the measurements and they tend to bill at 200lbs based on that. The last one I shipped went from Co to CA. $125 delivered to a business. If it goes to a residence, it's about $75 more. This is using Bax Global and with my commercial discount...

pack it into a fiber drum (55 gal size) that will allow it to be moved with a hand truck.
its the pallet that's killing you, that is too big and it puts you into dimensional weight, and extra charges for non-commercial docks
a fiber drum, business to business will be under $100 easily.

Where the hell do I get a fiber drum? What's a fiber drum? You mean like fiber board drum? I'm still not buying under $100, even like that. I have shipped EJ22T shortblocks through UPS (without an account) and they run $100. And that's for 100lbs. A packed tranny will weigh more than that...
It's the residential delivery that kills you. Do any friends or family have a business? Any business, that you can take delivery at? That will save you the $75. You just need to make sure 2 guys are there to remove it. $35 of that $75 is a liftgate.
