how do you find OEM part numbers the quickest way?

Post by Bheinen74 »

So, I am going to be doing some work on my old automatic tranny before it gets put into my $800 SS. I need some parts, and I know what parts I need, but need a quick way to find part numbers so I can get them ordered from 1stsubaruparts.com

Who on here can tell me the best way to get the part numbers?
thanks ahead of time

Call the dealership? Sometimes there are nice people working there.

I would just go to the dealership, but it is 60 miles away one way. And my dealer charges full retail, none of the parts are in stock, whereas 1stsubaru is wholesale priced, then have to pay shipping so it comes about the same.

i called and asked them for a part number today and the guy gave it to me strait up so it might be worth a shot. I think that thats the only way really unless you had a parts catalog

Make sure you have your VIN number on hand if you are calling the dealer. Seems like everytime I call them they pretty much tell me I am up shits creek without it.

They must think we are retards.
