Which set of AGX struts?

Struts, spring, anti-rollbars, braces and the like.

Which set of AGX struts?

Post by All_talk »

Hey guys

I’m wondering what’s the difference between the Legacy/Impreza set (P/N 734006, 734007, 733010, 733011).

And the WRX set (P/N 734034, 734035, 734036, 734037).

I understand they both fit the T-Leg with the right tops (’91 in my case) and assume the WRX set is a bit stiffer because of the higher stock spring rate. I’m gonna be using these with Eibach Pro Kit springs (’02-’04 WRX Rates: 191F/160R).

Are these AGX 4-way or 8-way adjustable?

Any other differences?

Gary

Don't know the differences.

I got the set for an 00 Impreza RS (I think that's the first set you mention)

Front is 4 way
Rear is 8 way
'00 Impr RS - sold
'91 Legacy Turbo 5MT - mothballed

on the gc impreza AGX's the adjustment is 4 in front and 8 in back, on the GD AGX's its 4 in front and 4 in back. also the adjustment knob for the rear struts on the GC is on the bottom of the strut (facing the other strut) and on the GD its on the top (meaning you have to take out the back seat to adjust the dampening). i dont know of any differences between the legacy-impreza ones because we always just put GC impreza ones on the legacys and such.

The little shoulder on the top of the strut is also different on the GD struts, so they don't fit into our tops right and might knock without rigging up washers or something.

Also with GD struts there will be less negative camber.
