98 trans rebuild kit: where can I buy it?

Post by djorge »

Dear friends,

I need to find this kit (+ a few other items like poly bushing kits or at least front and rear endlinks) for my 200,000 Km '98 Legacy Outback 2.5 DOHC, but need a place that accepts International credit cards once I live in Brazil and I´ll attend some meetings at our US office for a couple of days at Secaucus-NJ during early Feb - can anyone ; please reply to my email and MSN at denis.jorge@nykline.com.br;

Thanks a lot for any help!

Is this for AT or MT? I don't know if you're going to find a specific rebuild kit. There are probably parts you should replace if you are rebuilding it. However I'm not really up to snuff on what that should be.

Phil,

Do you guys deal at all with AT's? Is there a "complete" rebuild kit or or normal set of parts that get replaced when rebuilding the AT?

Rebuild kit for my 98 Legacy 4EAT

Post by djorge »

Hello Josh, Indeed, my mechanic recommends bringing a MAster rebuild kit when I go to US now during week 06, from Feb 06 til 11 when I'lll have some meetings at Secaucus, NJ, so I'll be thankfull for your quickest indications on where I'd buy from here using my Int'l credit card for delivery to an US address;

You may want to try these guys and see if there is a complete rebuild kit they sell.

Other then that, my suggestion would be to contact a subaru dealer here in the states. I'd recommend Jamie @ www.subarugenuineparts.com
