interested in front skid plate.

Post by shemoves »

Are there any inexpensive, bolt-on skidplates that will fit, say, a '94 SS out there?

primitive racing makes one, it is around $200. I have seen them in person and talked to the guy who makes them, very quality piece with a lot of thought put into it, it is 3/16 alumium.
otherwise, rumor has it that a loyale skidplate will work with a couple extra holes drilled.

The Primitive plate is excellent, but not particularly cheap unless you are lucky enough to find someone selling a used one. I had to drill a couple holes to get one made for a GC Impreza to fit my BC Legacy. You can see it on this page:

I don't mind doing drilling...I was looking for something metal and inexpensive...like 50 bucks or less!

I just picked up a giang piece of 1/4" aluminum diamond plate for $80 plenty enough material to make a front and rear skid plates (gotta protect that gas tank!) and still have some leftover.
