I'm getting a code 45.
45 Pressure Sensor Duty Solenoid (Turbo Models)
I wonder if this is the boost solenoid they're talking about. Ring a bell with anyone?

No. This code is for either the pressure sensor or for the pressure exchange solenoid that switches the sensor from measuring manifold pressure to measuring atmospheric pressure.

Hm. That makes sense. Does the ECU sample the atmospheric pressure constantly or is it a one time thing? It's experiencing a little hesitation during cruise and I wonder if it's related to bad barometer values. Man I need to figure out the factory triggering scheme.

IIRC, the ECU switches the pressure sensor over to atmospheric every few seconds as long as you're not boosting.

It samples it periodically -- maybe every 30 second or every minute or so -- and also every time you transition from below to above atmospheric manifold pressure.
