The power steering pump mount is different, I'm pretty sure. The fittings may be different on the pump as well. And remember that the STi pump has a remotely mounted reservoir.

The alternator mounts should be the same.

You will run into issues with the length of the main power wire not being long enough. Also the electrical connector/plug will not be the same.

blast i knew it wouldnt be this easy... well its on the way for $80 so ill just make it work
the main power isnt an issue, was gonna upgrade it for the future audio anyways, have plenty of 4awg and fuses around.
any suggestions on the connector? or am i just gonna have to start hacking wires (not my first choice)

I'm pretty sure it's a 2-wire setup with rpm dependent turn on. If so, you just wire up the sense & light wires to the correct sense & light wires for the sti alternator.

it shouldn't be a big deal.

I can help ya with wiring once you get the alternator and see how it's setup.
