A FWD trany from a 1.8/2.2, onto a EJ20G? The FWD tranny will use a pull-type clutch, as well as you'll need to use a proper non-turbo flywheel. I'd doubt that a stock clutch will hold for long with a EJ20G. You'd probably want to go aftermarket, I'm not entirely sure if an uprated NA EJ25 clutch would fit.
But why not go with a stronger tranny, as well as it being AWD, if you don't mind me asking? It would give you a lot more clutch options, as well as... y'know... being AWD and all that.
