Swapping parts from SS to GT??

I found a really nice 1997 Legacy GT Wagon (4eat) midnight blue, 135000km, leather, etc. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has any input on how the newer model stacks up against the T-leg. I love my touring wagon, but the cancer is pretty bad and the parts availability just isn't there around these parts.(eastern canada) I plan on keeping both, and was wondering what parts are interchangeable, Iknow the brakes, sway bars, sunroof glass, AT shift linkage and a few other things are. Plus i could always use my EJ22T block/turbo/ecu and the EJ25 heads and build something real interesting.

Also i assume the 4eat got better with time, but i still don't give it much faith.

Anyway any input will help, it rides like a dream but lacks the turbo's fun, and unique style.
