4:1 rrfpr

I've been doing alot of reading and searching and decided to give one of these a shot. It may be too much fuel at the top end for my current needs, but I have no clue as to the math involved to figure it all out. I'm running 16 psi on my TD04, which my MBC is turned all the way up to get that. I don't know about the accuracy of my boost guage, so it may actually be more, I don't know. I may see a bigger turbo in my future, though. So, does anyone have any suggestions or a hookup for a good one?

Ebay has BUNCHES of 12-1 rrfpr. Then use the setup VRG uses to tune it down.

"what" you say?

"I have no clue what you are talking about?"

I reply. "He posted it on one of my threads. Let me find it."

The below is ALL VRG3 aka Vikash.....

About the RRFPR... Putting a valve inline isn't going to do anything like what you want. You need a restrictor, a tee, and a needle valve. Exactly like a bleed-type MBC, actually, except you'll probably want to use smaller fittings since you're most likely using 1/8" hose.

I set it up like this:

Code:
Manifold----Restrictor----Tee----RRFPR
|
|
Valve---Atmosphere

The restrictor decouples the manifold from the rest of the system, and the valve bleeds some of the signal off to the atmosphere. If the stuff is sized reasonably, opening the valve all the way ought to result in no pressure signal ever reaching the RRFPR.

These are the parts I used (or equivalents):

The restrictor from Advance Auto Parts: http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDeta ... mber=47311

The barbs were parts MPT-3-2 and MPT-2-2 from this page: http://www.fittingsandadapters.com/malpiptap.html

The tee was part 23700x2 from this page: http://www.fittingsandadapters.com/femalepipetee.html

The valve was part 2203x4 from this page: http://www.fittingsandadapters.com/comanneedval.html

This should obviate the need for a lower-ratio kit. Does that make sense?
