Time For A Single Stage BB?
My current brake set up consists of WRX front calipers, Hawk HPS pads, stainless lines, racing brake rotors and ATE superblue. It's a decent setup but the pedal feel is horrible. I hate it. The system has been bleed twice with no real change. So what can I do to improve this? Single stage brake booster? Support bracket? Also would a wagon prop. valve be in order to send some power rearward under hard stops? What do you think? Thanks.

I've got a similar setup, and I LOVE it.
Pedal feel is very firm with no feel of squishiness. My only difference with yours is that I have a wagon prop valve, and with that install, I didn't notice a pedal feel difference, just a balance difference under certain circumstances.
I have a SSBB to install in the next week or two also.
Your booster or MC may be bad if the feel is THAT bad. I remember that we installed your brakes, and I haven't made a bleeding mistake yet, so they were definately bled correctly.

Excellent. I don't know what a good shape SSBB would set you back. Probably $50?

svx's come with single stages i imagine you can just pull one from the junkyard.. thats what im planning anyway
93 White Legacy Turbo Wagon: For Sale-ish
93 White Turbo Sedan: soon with a little more umf
91, funky brown purple gray color, legacy L Wagon: the "its so cheap i cant not pass it up" purchase to get me around when the others are down

The 94 FWDs come with a bigger non-abs MC. Once I put on WRX fronts and H6 rears (yeah, someday I'm seriously going to do it...), if I don't like the travel I might look into it. psyber_0ptix on nasioc has an extra single diaphram booster. I see they're pretty pricey new.gt2.5turbo wrote:svx's come with single stages i imagine you can just pull one from the junkyard.. thats what im planning anyway

I'm pretty sure the SVX's came with dual diaphragm boosters.
BTW, the correct terminology is single diaphragm & dual diaphragm....NOT single/dual stage.
