New Struts - alignment question

Post by Bosco »

SO...I swapped out the struts in my Touring Wagon.
Got new GR2s now.
I also put in a new ball-joint, and drivers side axle/cv assembly.

I plan to make another couple changes in about a week or so... (I'm gonna put in a different steering knuckle with properly working ABS sensor.)

SO...the question...
Can I drive the car for the next week until I make the next move, and THEN get it aligned?
Or will I destroy something (other than a bit of tire wear) by driving it without having it properly aligned?

It seems to be driving if a pretty straight line BTW.

Unless you find it drives noticeably off (i.e. pulling badly or terrible oversteer) I don't see why not. I'd try to minimise driving, but certainly complete refrain is unnecessary.
