Post by thehookeup »

so is there a special way for the rods in the 2.2t to be facing or directions to be installed. cause the rods i pulled i didnt mark correctly and 3 of the rods have all the same number and then theres the one odd ball one. they are all the factory rods. so go figure. any help will be appreciated. 8)

FSM W6D1 says
"Position each connecting rod with the side marked facing forward."

"Ensure the arrow on connecting rod cap faces forward during installation."

"Each connecting rod has it's own mating cap, make sure they are assembled correctly by checking their matching numbers."

Face the bump on the rod forward.

Is the number you are talking about in the casting(forge)?
I replaced one of the rods in my EJ22t with one with a different number. It wieghed the same, and I couldnt find any othe difffernces. It worked fine.
