replacement options for a 95 legacy 4EAT?

aside from the obvious, what year 4EATs will be a drop in replacement for my trans. in my 95 legacy wagon?

95-99 IIRC

that is what i am thinking too.

i could use other years but i would have to swap out the front diff i think.

If you use 90-94, you'd have to swap the TCU because the 95-99 do not have Power Mode.

OBDII also kicks in with the 95+ models.

was it where it would stay in gear longer?
