hmm, well i know i can pick up an STi muffler and mid for around 100-150 range.

I guess my budget is like 300 or so, my state doesn't require testing of any sort.

the STi one would probably be pretty cool.

you may need a shop to fab up some of the sections to make sure it is all long enough.

If your not running any more than 10 psi on your turbo, I don't really see a point to upgrade your downpipe, unless it's rusted. If that's the case, you could just get some cheap catless downpipe.

You'd also be better off just having an exhuast shop bend up some 2.5" from the DP back with a muffler rather than going the STi route. I'm not really a muffler kind of guy, so I'm sure someone else can recommend something there.

get one bent at the exhaust shop, as big as they will do.

I would purchase whatever style muffler you like and go get a shop to bend it up for you. I wouldn't go with a cheap downpipe, I would go with a decent downpipe or a oem one from a STI . With cheap downpipes you run the risk of it not fitting properly, and run the risk of it cracking.

is the oem STi downpipe any better than the OEM Turbo legacy one it came with?

Yeah, I know factory Subaru pipes/exhaust last much longer than any muffler shops pipes will, so if I can fit on a complete STi muffler, then that is my approach, it is stainless, so it will last a lt longer than a custom pipe bend of aluminized metal.

NOT. the seller sent me a refund via paypal, with no reason or explanation. guess he probably found someone else to sell it to. I left neutral feedback, since he did refund my money. still looking,

STi exhaust with pictures and write up.

Would you be interested in a 96-98 Legacy GT exhaust? I prefer the single-tip look (may not be your preference), but it bolts right up, no mods necessary at all.
