For those of you that read my post "BOUGHT THE SUBIE" you'll know
what
I'm talking about, i hope, anyways I'll explain it a bit better. The
nipple on the engine coolant filler tank that goes to the turbo broke.
Not the coolant resevoir beside the radiator, but the black tank on
the drivers side. Both Matt and Alain have suggested two things, i
can
get a pumping nipple and screw it on with some high heat silicon, or
drill out the hole to the same size as the nipple and epoxy it into
the hole with some JB epoxy, both sound like good ideas, (thanks
guys), any other suggestions. I just want it to hold as long as
possible.
Thanks again people, you guys are awesome!!

How to fix broken nipple on coolant filler tank???
The same thing happened to me. You should just replace the tank with the
stock part, an never worry about it again.Dave from Turbo-Centric blew me
off when I alerted him to this problem. I think if the nipple was weakened
enough to break off,the whole assembly is suspect. Good luck. Bill

How to fix broken nipple on coolant filler tank???
Hey Bill, i didn't blow you off. I know it's a serious problem and
even my local dealership has replaced countless reservoirs because
they pull the hose off at an angle, or it's just on the verge.

How to fix broken nipple on coolant filler tank???
I broke mine too, about 20,000 miles ago! Now at 148000MI. I repaired mine
with a brass fitting, threaded on one end with a hose nipple on the other.
I simply enlarged the hole in the reservoir to fit the pipe thread and
installed it with some gasket sealer, good as new
BTW, I also bought a
new tank from Subaru, $80.00 on sale "just in case".
Enjoy your new ride

How to fix broken nipple on coolant filler tank???
Hey Dave, I didnt mean to sound like an A-hole,but trust me, this nipple did
not break from pulling it off at an angle. The plastic or resin or whatever
it is constructed of was flaking off at this area. The nipple itself crumbled
to the touch. You could see where the material was coming apart layer by
layer.I personally would not epoxy something together that effects the
pressure holding capacity of my cooling system.Sorry if I offended you.
