Back in November I ran into that curb, and luckily I had a fresh set of WRX wheels and tires to go on after I got it all fixed up. So I've had a set of wheels with bald tires sitting in the corner behind my house for the last few months. Two of them were all curbed to shit, and one of those was probably pretty out of round. I was planning on using the not so curbed on as a spare tire.

So last night I go out to get some food, and notice only two wheels sitting there. What jackass steals two wheels. The funny part is they took the curbed ones, so I guess all I lost was my full sized spare that had a cut sidewall anyway. Looks like I'm only selling one wheel on e-bay now. They go for like $80 each in good condition.

I guess the moral of the story is to not leave stuff behind your house in south central for months on end and plan on it not getting stolen. Kind of like when I thought my mountain bike was safe in the hall outside my room.

I've had 4 wheels and rally tires in my back yard for a few years right in the middle of downtown Baltimore. And get this, I know some crack heads must have walked right past them en route to breaking into our our house this one time! Yet they didn't take the wheels. They just took jewelry and cash... I assume crack heads want light-weight valuables that they can move fast and discretely. It's not easy to move a couple hundreds pounds of wheels and rally tires fast and quietly!!! So I'm surprised they bothered with yours... especially if they weren't like mint and designer brand name. Personally, I don't think it was worth their trouble to risk becoming a butt buddy in jail over an incomplete set of heavy, damaged, stock take offs!

Crackheads aren't known for their flawless logic...
