Front passenger door lock busted

[Splinter]

I know this has come up in the past, but after much searching I could only find vague hints as to the fix.

Basically, the door will lock and unlock, but only with a lot of force. Tonight Ive had to pull the door card off and manually lock it by playing with the mechanism.

I understand there's some kind of plastic tab that breaks, but I cant figure it out.

Has anyone fixed this who wants to do a writeup?

Preferably before tomorrow night, Im going out to a movie and would like for my friend to be able to get out of my car.
