The oldest car at the NASIOC Dragon meet!

Post by IronMonkeyL255 »

I went to the SE region NASIOC Dragon meet over the weekend and had a blast.

For those of you not familiar with the Dragon, it's a mountain road sporting 318 turns across 11 miles of some of the most beautiful scenery you've ever seen.

The tLeg did quite well, keeping up with other, much newer cars. I managed to cook the brake fluid after only one run, so I think I need to upgrade fluid.......

Here's a pic of quite a few in attendance. The pic was taken from the top of a hydro-electric dam with a camera with too little zoom.

It's like a game of where's Waldo, except with my Legacy playing the part of Waldo.

Also, our attempt at a human Subaru Logo.

Click me!

The photo was originally going to be on the baseball field where we were staying, but there was a mountain bike race there at the same time and we got shafted. The only problem with how we did it was the fact that there were alot of people that couldn't make it to the site that day due to having to leave early.

Also, we had a big pig roast. It kicked ass. There was a really awesome EVO owner that helped us carve the pig.

Always a good time at the Dragon.

Who nearly offed themselves this time IronMonkey? Someone always has a wreck up there

I was supposed to go up in 2 weeks with the XT gang, but a few setbacks (such as this one) have made me financially unprepared to go :(

Surprisingly, there were no incidents involving any of our crew. Saw a few bikers messed up, but no Scoobies were involved.

Well..... After bleeding all the cooked fluid out of the system, my brakes still don't feel quite like they did before the dragon, but they still stop very well. I guess that's all I could ask for.....

That's what I'm thinking.

Gotta see if my friend keeps any in stock in his shop......

I'm surprised I cooked the fresh Valvoline stuff so quickly. It has a dry boiling point of 450 degrees, and I had cooked it before the end of the first run........

You only beat those SVXi by one or two years max, so they were close to you in age.

How did they do in the run?

Heh, I only see like 5 girls there....

SVX's were made till 97...

This is the first run I've heard of where an SVX hasn't gotten involved in an accident :?

I know of several girls that went this time, but it's still a sausagefest for the most part.

Check the grilles on those. Those have pre-1994 grilles.
