Exploded the front diff

Post by Splinter »

Driving down the highway yesterday after rallyx, doing like 90kmh in 4th, all of a sudden there's a loud bang, I turn off the engine and coast over to the side of the road.

There's a huge streak of oil behind my car, oil EVERYWHERE in the engine bay, all over the right side, even on the outside of the wheel rim, and its gear oil not engine oil.

Pull out the diff dipstick, and its covered in little shards of metal.

So my car is sitting at RS25's step-dad's shop until Friday when we can put in the 5MT

It was a long, long freaking day.

If I'm not mistaken, a little while ago you destroyed an axle doing a launch. You just happened to pay for that driving down the highway.
