I'm thinking about buying a new Legacy... any thoughts?

Post by Tone-us »

Well I went out and took a look at them yesterday, sad thing is all the Legacy's they had were auto! I test drove a red GT, but the damn sales person wouldn't let me get it into boost! So I don't know wether to get a GT or just a special edition?

GT= DOHC 250 Hp and 250 lb-ft. Max boost at 13.5 psi. The only thing I didn't like about it is that they only come in leather.... I'm sorry but I have a couple of big dogs and thats just not going to work.
MPG= 20 city, 26 highway.

Non GT= SOHC 175 Hp, 169 lb-ft. And I can get it in cloth interior. I'm thinking "Satin White Pearl" for the color.
MPG= 22 City, 29 Highway.

I just want to hear your guy's thoughts on these new Legacy's. Anyone hear any pro's and con's? Any insight would be appreciated.

I really like the new legacies. I have a friend that had weird electrical issues with her 05 GT, and got subaru to buy it back.

If I were to buy one, I'd buy a used one.

You may want to also ask on www.legacygt.com/forums to get some additional opinions.

That sucks the GT doesn't come in cloth.

New Leg Turbo Wagon is v. plush and roomy

If I wasn't so far into my first gen twgn I'd get serious about the new ones

I'm waiting for the Spec B's to show up on the used market. Though there's still one in the showroom near me. Hmmmmm. I wonder how long I could live on a pack of ramen noodles a day?

Wouldn't let you get into boost? Don't buy from that jerk. When I drove the new GT the salesguy didn't complain about cornering or flooring it and getting up to about 80. He said to watch out for cops. :lol:

Also, is it true that they don't make GT wagons with sticks anymore?

Only in 2005. . . for 2006 ALL the GTs are Limited, which means sunroof and leather. ;)
