Exhaust noise Cure

Post by Subtle »

Actually. it's a throbbing sound that resonates through the car at around 2000rpm when going with busy traffic on the freeway.

The first built stainless had 3 inch divorced DP, high-flow cat, necked down to 2.5 with a Vibrant muffler, that has two 2.25 out pipes.

Great sound but the boomin noise on a long vacation drive was tedious.

Put on a 14-lnch long resonator and it got a little quieter on the boom part.

Last week took off the cat and installed a Vibrant Ultra resonator. The inner dia is a 3 inch through pipe --the other resonator is still on.

Sound is better----and no boom at freeway traffic speeds. :-D
