Hey guys, got the engine in and am just trying to work out the last details. A lot of parts were missing on the engine so I have had to work with Blackbart to get them.
Basically I have two urgent questions at this time:
1) There is a large "resonator" box on the air inlet. This is the big plastic box that is right over the turbo. Hooks to the elbow coming in from the filter box. If you stand in front of the car and look at the box there is no place for the tube that runs to the box. I looked at one of Josh's pictures because I thought I remembered there being a place for another tube. His had it as did my old (broken) one. I can drill a hole in the box and make a place for the hose but do I really need it?
There is a metal tube that runs on the intake manifold. One side goes (I think) to the plastic coolant resevour (you know the one everyone breaks) and the other end of the tube is right behind the power steering pump. Question is, where does it hook to. The only think I could think of is that it goes back the the radiator or something. (I am running a NA radiator...not sure if turbo radiators have an extra nipple).
Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone else has attempted it but I managed to do my entire swap without drainging my AC system. I was able to unbolt the compressor and pull it off to the side where the battery used to be.
Thanks!

Are you saying there's no barb for the auxiliary purge line? If so, it sounds like it's a part from an overseas EJ20G that had no purge system.
Search for "aux* purge check valve" (no quotation marks) with me as the author.

Yup, that works well as long as you can fix it in place so it doesn't hang from the hoses (if you put too much strain on the hoses they can develop miniscule leaks).Oh, and I'm not sure if anyone else has attempted it but I managed to do my entire swap without drainging my AC system. You can do the same thing with the power steering pump.
