short throw shifter?

what short shifter will work for my 94 legacy?


1998-2004 impreza 5spd?

subaru part # is c1010fa001


if this wont fit, what can i buy that will?

There is no short shifter that will work with the stock linkage & joint, however you can swap to the new style shifter joint & wrx linkage and use pretty much anything meant for the WRX.

I cut mine apart and TIG'd an extension piece between the pivots so you might consider that.

No. Remove your shift boot and look at what you've got there...that would be female to female. You gotta replace the linkage like the above message says...

The first shifter on that link is for a SRT-10. If you mean this one:

Then it won't fit the 90-92. Just look at the difference between the versions, not even close.

If it fits a 92-94 legacy, it should fit a 90-91.

You'd probably have better luck fitting this guy in:

Won't work on our cars tho. Not without updating the rest of the linkage.
