I know nothing of the Carter piece you speak of, but you can get a Walbro 255 gph pump with a WRX install kit for $100 online. I think I paid $98 with free shipping when I did mine just after Christmas. I'd shop around online if you've got the time to wait for it to be shipped. The Walbro will last forever (probably!) and will support big turbo + injectors if you choose to someday.

Yeah I know that, but I'm going to be using this pump for a bit since the SS pump is supposed to be 185ish (isnt it LPH not GPH?) and I wanted to get some info about this replacement..

Walbro 255, 16g, intercooler, sti injectors, water injection..........yeah someday
