I recently installed Tanabe Sport springs on my 92 SS...(along with new struts.) It has an AMAZING stance but I don't really know how well it handles yet... I have been running with a 215/45/17 and the rub like crazy. Sometimes bad enough to smell like burned rubber!! I hate to get rid of my 17" gunmetal rims, but I think they are too wide! Anyone know of any secret, or do I need to go to 16" with a 205/55/16???

No clue...they're 17" ADR sokudos.....if that helps. I really like the way they look so I don't want to get rid of them...but I also don't want to cut a slice in my tires!
Might be looking to trade my wheels for stock 16" legacy or WRX rims...if anyones intersted.

Knowing the offset and width would probably be really helpful. I'm going to assume you don't have enough offset.
A 7" wheel should have like +50mm. With the right wheels a 215 should fit fine. I have tons of room with 205/55-16s. They're 6.5" with 55mm offset.
Are the fenders rolled?
The ADR website shows them as being available in 17x7 with either 40 or 48mm offset. A 48 offset wheel with 215s would probably fit with rolled fenders. 40 not so much.
I see...and thanks for the research! I rolled the fenders....I think I could roll 'em a liiiiiitle bit more, but I think I'm rubbing beyond the distance I could roll. They must be a .40 offset. I think I'd like to go to a 205/55/16....preferably OEM subaru wheels.
