Well i stuck in normal power steering fluid insted of what the cap said. em i F*#$ed? :?

You'll be fine. I ran normal power steering fluid for too many years to count. It probalby wouldn't hurt to put ATF in....but it shouldn't kill your pump or anything.

When I realized that the funky stuff my power steering was doing was as a result of having low fluid, it actually took some convincing to get the parts store to check and make sure that his books agreed with my manual for ATF.

I had a weepy rack when I first got the car (only leak the car had). So I was in Walmart and saw some stop-leak power steering fluid stuff... figured I give it a try and it worked. No more weeping for over 3 years and not one complaint from the steering rack from lock to lock.

That was before I knew the power steering fluid took ATF... but it seems to be just fine.
