Well finally swapped the JDM engine in and have her on the road again but after 170,000 miles she needs new rotors/brakes all around.
Without swapping to 16" wheels what are the best options out there for a direct replacement, any brands to stay away from?
Thanks

Are you just looking for recommendations for pads, or do you want to replace the brakes?

If you're not looking for an upgrade kit, and just want to replace stock stuff try
http://www.etopline.net/
i seem to remember a few guys on here have tried it as well.
it's local to the few of us from Toronto area... but product and shipping are cheap and the product is pretty damn good.
just put in Brembo front rotors c/d (though you can request not drilled)
Mountain rears (japanese brand, apparently as good as the brembo's)
PBR front and rear semi-metallics.
paid:
$150 front
$160 rear
$100 pads (all 4)
tax in
NAPA who i used to swear by:
$140 front
$140 rear
$230 pads
tax in
cdn $$$ by the way
usd prices were cheaper... there is an online link for the subaru line of stuff...
http://www.etopline.net/catalog.php?pag ... subaru.htm
contact him via email for specific requests.
car stops quicker, with no noise.
put them in about 3 days ago, and am very impressed considering the price.

Pads all the way around and at least front rotors, I might be able to get the rears cut one more time. I am looking for OEM performance, better performance for about the same price is fine. I just don't want to spend tons or swap out calipers and then need new wheels.Legacy777 wrote:Are you just looking for recommendations for pads, or do you want to replace the brakes?

Just in case i left room for interpretation, the above rotors and pads are in stock size, not an upgraded big brake kit.
