91 leggy turbo near me.... wanting to buy...

Well, a while ago I had a 91 leggy turbo that I sold to Templar (name here and on nabisco) I have since found another up here in VT...

IT has issues...

-upper coolent tank is about to shit the bed (looks glued together)
-missing parts of the running boards at the rear fenders
-drivers door sticks out about 1/8th of an inch
-was an auto, transfered to manual
scratches and dings, usual other issues...

I offered the guy $750, well told the shop owner where it was being fixed... the guy told him he wants $900

I found those issues AFTER I offered him the $750... I just told the shop owner to NOW offer him $700

am I being stupid? Should I just take it? I dont think those rust holes will allow me to have it inspected here in VT...

since I have rebuilt a previous 91 turbo, I know what to expect, but still, think its worth that?

It's worth it if you want to have it before someone else grabs it. Why do you consider the tranny swap to be an 'issue', as in a negative one?
