Hey folks, so I've searched again and again, and I still can't come up with a clear answer (probably because some people do it differently)
I have the EJ22T crossmember and supporting components, I need to drop my EJ22 crossmember out of my 91 Legacy L Wagon and install the EJ22T crossmember - I know the steering rack bolts to the underside of the x-member, but what else exactly will I -have- to take off to get this thing to drop out.
Thanks for the info.

You need to remove the front lateral arms and anti-sway bar as well.

Yep, I've got that, but can I get by with leaving the lower control arms bolted to the frame and just disconnect them at the crossmember mount?
I think that's been my biggest concern, everything else I can cope with, but the steering rack and the LCA's being in the way will be the big one.

Depends how worn the rear LCA bushings are. I would venture to say you'll need to disconnect them from the chassis.

You might be able to loosen the bolts holding the rear control arm bushings out of the chassis enough to let them swing down far enough to let the Xmember come out without hanging up.
But I'd say just take the control arms off completely, so that if they do get in the way, you're not stuck trying to keep the Xmember held in place while you screw around with the control arms some more.

I'd recommend getting an alignment if you take everything apart.
