'90 Legacy LS Wagon, want to drop it lower.

Post by wayneswirld2 »

So, I'm a newbie. And I recently bought a little grandma's grocery getter Legacy LS wagon with a bunch of miles on it. Got rid of the little 14" tire/wheel combination and mounted some '02 WRX wheels with 205/55R16's on it. Looks great, fells great. But now I'd like to drop the stance a bit, wondering what to do to make that happen.

Any suggestions??

Well, like everyone else I'd like to NOT spend every paycheck on the car, but I'm not opposed to spending a little cash on it. I'm going to eventually upgrade pretty much everything on the car with the exception of the body/paint/interior. I want to keep it fairly stock in appearance for that sleeper feel.

What have you got in mind?? Feel free to email me directly if you'd like at wayneswirld2@yahoo.com

You can get 04 WRX wagon springs for like $20. You need front upper spring seats for them to fit. I would make sure they're wagon springs, which are a bit taller in the rear.

I tend to stay away from take-offs, because they really arent that much of an upgrade, and they are already used.

But there are exceptions, If you dont want to spend too much. You could try to find some newer, used wrx struts (like 2004-2005) And then get a ground control coilover kit.

This reason being, you wont have to worry about any fitment issues. You wont need to buy any spring seats/top strut mounts/ or any of the BS.

You simply order the Ground Control kit (http://www.ground-control-store.com/pro ... y.php/CA=4)

And find the struts on NASIOC.com or somewhere local.

The Ground Control Kit is $400, but it comes with springs with actual rates that they will tell you. My brother works there, its a cool place.

I can get you a good deal on a set of KYB AGXs and H&R Springs if you're interested.

That set up works great on your car..We've done several with them, and client's are very happy with the results.

Also have a set of '04 STi take offs w/15k miles on them..

Pm or email me if you have any other questions.
