18X8 48mm offset, will it fit?

Post by legacymax »

I have been considering getting Rota Formel Mesh wheels for my 94 touring wagon with agx and ground control suspension. i was wondering if anyone has tried to fit 18s, or more importantly 18X8 on their legacy?

I would have my doubts it would fit without rubbing, especially with a +35mm offset.

rubbing on the inner fender well, i don't have my legacy here, but looking at my GC it looks like the inner fender be modified?
i wish they made the formel mesh in 17X7.5 but they don't.
also, i have rolled my fender because with the drop 16s were getting kind of close.

It'd be a close fit on my BE, much less an older model. You might have to do some cutting and grinding, along with some very narrow coilovers...

well i have the narrow coilovers, the agx's spring perch is cut down to the housing and the GCs are pretty small. now the cutting and grinding, will have to see how much needs to be cut before i make that decision. I am going to try to get someone in my area to let me borrow some 18x8s. then i will report back to you.
