My 1994 Legacy Sport Sedan is no more.

I signed the title over last week and the check cleared my account. The car is gone, but not forgotten.

It was definately the most important vehicle I've owned for a number of reasons, and it was tough to see her be driven by someone else.

She now belongs to a guy I work with, who wanted to buy the car when I first bought it. I can still see it when I want, but it's his car now.

It's really tough to let go of a car you really love. It's not a feeling that I'd recomend.

But now, the automotive world is my oyster. I'll be back with something unique and fun, and less race-only oriented. Right now, I'm going to Japan, and I'll stay away from serious mods for a while. I'll still be around, trying to impart what little knowledge I've gained over the years, and helping in any way that I can.

Goodbye old friend.

Seriously though, I was a pit-hair-pluck away from tears when I signed her over.

Good to hear you sold it, now on to bigger better things. I know how you feel except that I wrecked my car. I knew I was going to buy another T-leg right away because of all the good times I had in my first one. What are you going to do in Japan? I'm sure a few of us wouldn't mind you being the middleman in sourcing JDM parts. :D

Ah Phil... This evening there will be a toast in your and your baby's honor.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss but glad to hear that a car as special as yours went to someone who truly wanted and can appreciate a Legacy. I know you wouldn't have let that car go to just anyone and I'm sure you got the true value of it, to which it deserved.

And yes, don't leave the BBS, we need you.

Life is nothing if not full of change. As soon as I get some cash to get another, I'm likely to give mine away to a friend of mine. I might not though, it depends on whether or not I have some space to store it in the future. If I do then I'll just mess around with it until I'm bored. Good luck in Japan. Make sure you don't hit your head on low hanging things.

Make sure the new owner stops by the bbs. The vast amount of information will definitely come to good use since you'll be in Japan. Have fun while there and keep in touch.

I'm sure we'll all appreciate pics of the bad-ass Subarus you'll see.

Hey Phil,

Nothing lasts forever. It's happy and sad all at once.

Who'd you sell it to at the shop?

What's the story with Japan? Are you like the guy in FnF Tokyo Drift? Maybe I'll find out what your up to in another thread if I keep browsing.

I decided on Japan not to long ago. I never let the cat out of the bag because I wanted to make sure it went through. The tickets are purchased, the hotels booked, and I'm ready to go!

Just a vacation. Going for 10 days. Spending 4 days in Kyoto, a night in Hakone, and then the last 5 days in Tyoko. It's going to be totally awesome!

Nothing. Keeping one car for now. It's a foreign concept, I know, but I can't have a million cars when I don't have a place of my own to store them yet.

I'll wait until I graduate and get a job and a house before I get another toy.

So do you have obscene plans for mods to the Forester? Or just keeping your cool until you graduate?

I might do a few things here and there to make the Forester a better car, but other than that, I'll probably just chill out until I graduate. I did, however, just get a Clifford RSX 3.5 for her. Living in Washington DC makes me nervous for it getting broken into. Plus, remote start is cool, and the Clifford unit actually seems very complete and useful (lots of anti-theft features, both passive and active).

A really big deal for me in the near future is graduating, then getting my masters and becoming my own person. I'll always have time for cars, and I'll always have an obscene passion for them. But I want to finish school, get a job, and buy a house.

I slacked off in school for too long, and now I just want to finish and stop wasting time and money.

Of course, I do dream about something totally ballistic for the Forester. It's truly an awesome, utilitarian car and it could be so much more if I had the money to do what I'd like. I'd definately build something fun and very unique.

Since I dicked around with so many majors before, I've got 5 or 6 semesters until graduation. Then my Masters. I'm hitting the gas on it as hard as possible though.

I'll only do simple mods to the forester. It needs struts soon, so SG GR2's will go in with King Lift springs (since 150k springs are saggin). Tires will upsize when the current ones die and the lift and tires will go on the same time. I am going to get an Energy bushing master kit and replace all of the tired bushings at the same time. Then Dynamat the whole interior and that'll be it for a while. Simple mods, Nothing crazy. Just improvement in the areas I find lacking.
