Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce myself, as I've been lurking for the past few months since I bought a 91 turbo sedan. Bought from frantic four in Tacoma, WA (good guys, heard them mentioned on here as well). I live in Gig Harbor, and work in Fife, so let me know next time you guys in the area are going for a cruise / run.

Pictures below. This was shortly after I bought it, have yet to start modifying it, outside of the addition of some hella ff75's, and swapped out the stock head unit and speakers (giant PIA, damn things wouldnt fit at all w/out lots of spacers and junk). Also have to remove that damn ski rack (don't have a key for it).

Right now deciding on either some stock RS 16x7's or speedline 16's ( http://www.upgarageusa.com/viewproduct. ... ct_id=1104 )

Ouch, all the usual dings and scratches, think the preview owner pushed the bumper back a couple inches, need to find a new one. And clear those damn headlights.

Glad I found this site, looking to do a good bit of modifying to the leggy (it's a learning process, for the most part, i'm a car noob, especially to subies)

Side note: She out of the blue decided to not start the other day, thinking it's the fuel pump since I've got spark. Anything in specific to look for on these cars?

There, I've made my customary forum introduction :D

Matt.

A common point of failure on our fuel systems is right under your backseat, thats where the connector for the fuel pump is... the power wire (thicker) burns up the connector over time due to the connector's resistance I believe. The fix is to cut the power wire away from the connector, leave the rest in there, and bypass the connector (soldering the power wire is ideal, but a large-contact single-wire connector can be used to replace.)

And nice SS... the black looks great. The chromed 91 door handles actually look pretty sweet on the black.

Welcome to the board!

Could be your fuel pump relay too. Conects the ECU to the fuel pump so if you crash and die the fuel pump cuts out so your family members are given a choice about having you cremated.

Pull the padding out of the trunk. pull the inspection plate (passenger side. 3 or 4 10mm bolts) test the wires for voltage while someone turns the ignition on and off every few seconds.

No power? Probably the relay. Its tucked up under the dash. browse through the Engine section. there is a lot of good information there.

sweet. i rock.

Thanks for the welcome. Turned out to be a dead fuel pump, so it was a pretty easy fix once I figured out what it was.

Going to have to clean her back up and take some pics with the new wheels on.

This about says it all - http://www.subiefest.com/

Should be a fun time. My only beef is that yet again ALL the Legacy MYs are lumped in together - when 91 -94 should be broken out. Later models are judged separately but there should be three classes not two for Legos. That is IF you take your car showing seriously. I try not to...

Thanks for the link adam.

I doubt I'll show the car, as I've had no time / $$ to do much work to it, but I'll try and make it up there :)

Gotta clean her up and take some pictures with the new wheels on this weekend!

Was nice to meet you too! Can't beat Taco Del Mar for lunch :)

I'll be down for a weekend run anytime, after I get rid of stock suspension and pull off these snow tires (nearly hit a tree the other night when they gave out in the rain :-/ )
