I'm consdering installing snow tires on my '95 leggy. What's the dest way to go? M+S on fronts, ASR on rear, vice versa of same or M+S all around?

Whatever--do the same all round.
Subtle (normally aspirated engines suck):
05 Legacy GT Wagon with Cobb chip.

whatever you do, if your car is AWD, you have to change ALL 4 tires, and they ALL 4 have to have matching tread, matching tread depth, same even wear, on ALL 4 of them.
