ABS Problem.?

Post by Subtle »

We dont get much snow in Vancouver, but we've had a foot recently.

Yesterday I was showing off by backing in to a parallel parking spot.

It was small and full of crud, and with some jockeying around ended up with a decent park.

Then it took some power back and forthing to get out and what with rocking to and fro the ABS became effective--like you could hear the clicking . Then when driving the ABS light came on and in testing it under hard braking it wasn't working.

Thought I'd screwed up one of those tone wheel things, but after dinner in driving home the light was not on and the ABS is back to working.

Any comments :?:

Well if you pulse the brakes the ABS light comes on, and when that happens, you need to turn off the car and turn it back on, if it hasn't come back on, who cares, mine is on, and seems to be a low battery, i find the ABS in this car rather picky though, i mean if i pulse the brakes a LITTLE i mean LITTLE abs light, which is not so smart, but i think its to save the abs unit.

One of the sensors got wet or something along those lines. Turn off the car and back on and it should go away.
