SOLD!!!

Overall, the car is in decent condition, but it does have some issues. It has about 172k miles on it. Car has some light mods that I am willing to sell along with the car.

Good:

-Pirelli P3000 tires bought from Discount with the warranties, have A LOT of tread on them. A great all-around tire.

-Motor pulls hard/strong (EJ22T)

-Saab 900 intercooler (mounted in the traditional 'TMIC' location)

-functional hoodscoop

-Greddy Boost guage with warning/memory

-newer alternator and battery

-new windshield

-Power doors/locks/windows/moonroof

-Dash area and headliner are all in excellent shape. Carpet/Seats are clean.

-New Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs (included, but not installed)

-shifts well under hard acceleration on the freeway

Bad:

-A lot of dents/dings/scratches. I had a bit of an 'off-road' incident while attending the Laughlin Rally last year that put a dent in the lower portion of the rear driver side door. I also went over a rock that damaged the oil pan (which I replaced) and put some dents in some of the underbody stuff. As you can see in the pics, the hood does not sit completely flush (it stays closed though).

-Driver door pocket broke off. Driver-side rear-door interior window-trim is pulled away a bit. Rear seat has some tearing at the base of the side bolsters.

-interior trunk-release is broken

-passenger front window rolls down fine but has trouble going back up

-It binds a bit in sharp turns. The initial shift from 1st to 2nd is rough though and it had some occasions of slipping when it was REALLY hot this summer. May just be an issue with the TCU.

-Can't see it in the pic, but there is a dent/some missing paint on the front bumper under the headlight.

Car is very reliable. I drive it anywhere from 50 to 250 miles a week, and just took it on a roughly 1000 mile roadtrip over New Years.

what do you means it bends in sharp turns? and would it make it on a 1500-mile trip safely

The binding is apparently a common problem. The car kinda shutters/vibrates when making turns. It does not do it at real low speeds though.

I don't see why a 1500 mile trip would be a problem. I am going out of town this weekend with her, which should be about a 1000 mile total trip.

When I posted the thread, the car actually had 168,xxx miles, she now has 170,xxx miles. So, I've driven over 1k miles in the past month.

Alright, I am curious...if I were to sell the motor seperately, what would be a good price (for both parties  ) to sell the rest of the car at?

don't part out

Try not to get impatient. You'll sell it. After Christmas people need to save up money again. Hang in there!

I know, I'm just in a bind. If I don't sell it soon, I will likely hold on to it for another month or so and raise the price back to where it should be.

thanks though :-)

Did you end up keeping your car?

Yes, it's sitting in my driveway right now. Poor little thing -- it's all brown from the rain and the dust that settles in it as it dries. I still haven't troubleshooted (or is it troubleshot??? ) the tranny yet. I meant to do that in December but was under the weather most of the month.

How is your tranny transplant coming along for the '92?
