so, I swapped my tires rear to front and front to rear the other day with a normal 'ol 2 ton floor jack. I used the jacking points I have always used, which is near the tire, under that piece of metal that runs along under the length of the car, about 3 inches in from the outside. On all four corners, the metal seemed to bend to one side from the weight of the car once it was up! Am I doing something horribly wrong, or is it possible that the metal is old and that weak?

Are you usin' the factory jack? Coz that one fits right into the little notch in the chassis; I even used the factory jack and didn't fit it in the notch right and bent the metal, but not too bad...

no, i was using a normal 2 ton floor jack, but you would think that there would be a place to put it just to jack up one wheel! wierd... :?

Jacking points I would use are the rear diff, and the metal bracket/brace running behind the engine oil pan.

If you just want to do one wheel, put the jack under the A-arm.
